Where In The World To Go For Thrills: 5 Travel Ideas

When I’m booking my trips around the world, I always make sure that there’s somewhere nearby to seek adventure and get my heart racing. After all, what’s life without a little thrill-seeking?! I love nothing more than snorkelling in some of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world, speeding through the air on a zip wire, or carving my way through the powder as I perfect my snowboarding skills. However, it’s a pretty big world out there, and finding the best places for these thrills can often be difficult. Here are my five travel ideas for thrill-seekers.

Skydiving

South Africa

If you’ve never been to South Africa, you need to add it to your bucket list immediately. This country is perfect for those looking to add a bit of adventure into their lives because there’s some around every corner. From the famous safaris that will give you a chance to see the Big Five alive and in the flesh to the beautiful coastline that will show off its marine wildlife – there’s always something that will get your heart pounding in your chest. My top tip? If you’re feeling brave enough, you just have to give shark diving a go…

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Dubai has long been known as the playground as the rich and famous, and it’s slowly but surely becoming the playground for thrill-seekers. With some of the tallest buildings in the world, you can test your brawn as you check out the views from the glass-panelled floors – or from your very eyes as you skydive over The Palm! As if that wasn’t cool enough, you can also take a trip into the desert for a 4×4 Jeep safari or sand boarding.

Australia

It’s no secret that I’ve always wanted to go to Australia, and all of the adventures this country has to offer is making me even more excited for my eventual trip. If you’re the kind of person that loves extreme sports, Australia will be right up your street. With everything from bungee jumping, to zip lining, to abseiling, to cave diving and so much more, you can bet that there will be something to suit every travellers’ needs. Always make sure you’re prepared and covered for these adventures, though!

Taft Point Trail Yosemite National Park

China

Although China might not be just around the corner, it’s definitely worth a visit if you’re looking to test yourself and your thrill-seeking abilities. This country is largely famous for its beautiful walks and hikes, but you might need to bring an extra side of courage in your suitcase if you want to take on Mount Huashan. With everything from a plank trail to vertical ascents and almost-vertical staircases that stand on the side of a mountain, this will be one of the most treacherous walks of your life – but the views will be worth it.

Nicaragua

Located in Central America, Nicaragua is not your usual holiday destination, but when you see what’s on offer you just don’t want to give it a miss. You can scuba your way around the Corn Islands, hike your way through the cloud forests, surf the waves around the Pacific Coast, or grab your board and make your way down the side of a volcano! Yes, volcano boarding is all the rage in Nicaragua and is something that you just can’t do on your average family holiday…

It’s always important to find adventure wherever you go, and these destinations are overrun with thrill-seeking activities for those who want it.
